Deborah A. "Deb" Carter, 51, Rural Hardinville, Illinois died Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at her residence. Deborah was born on May 31, 1953 in Aurora, Illinois and was the daughter of Russell "Curly" and Lois J. (Domianus) Pugh. She worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections for over 15 years - serving in the Juvenile Division in St. Charles, Illinois and in the Adult Division in Robinson, Illinois. Deborah was of the Catholic faith and she was a member of the Irish Club in Aurora, Illinois. Deborah received several letters of recognition while with the Illinois Department of Corrections. Her hobbies included cooking, painting, her dogs and grandchildren.

Deborah is survived by her mother, Lois J. Pugh; one son and daughter-in-law: Ryan and Stephenie "Stephie" Erickson; one daughter and son-in-law: Julie & Jon Gurke; five grandchildren: Tre' Jordan, Taylor Arnell, Michael Derrick, Rachel Makenzie and Jakeb Thomas; one brother and sister-in-law: Edward "Ed" & Deb Rusher; one sister and brother-in-law: Jody K. & Lonnie Fitch; one brother-in-law: David Smith; one step-sister: Rose Martinez; seven nieces and nephews: Nicole Rusher, Edward Rusher, Tony Kuter, Herb Kuter, Barry Smith, Jared Smith and Laurel Butler; life long best friend Judy Woods and special friend Carrie James.

Deborah is preceded in death by her father: Russell "Curly" Pugh and one sister: Sandra "Sandy" Sue Smith.

Burial will be in the Hardinville Cemetery, Hardinville, Illinois at a later date
