Celestine M. "Sally" Menke, 91, Oblong, Illinois passed away on Sunday November 27, 2005 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Sally was born in Ste. Marie Twp., Jasper County, Illinois on May 19, 1914 and she was the daughter of Jacob and Isabel (Michl) Rennier. On April 15, 1940 she married Edward Menke and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1984. Sally worked at Harmon's Drug Store for many years as a clerk. She was a member of St. Valentine Catholic Church, The Bend. Sally will be remembered by her flair for quilting, her sense of humor, her amazing memory and friendship.

Sally is survived by one daughter-in-law, Nancy Menke; three grandchildren, Michael & Joanna Menke, Patrick Menke and Stephanie & Brian Hampton; one great-grandson, Noah Menke; one brother and sister-in-law, Raphael & Joy Rennier; one sister, Eileen & Simon "SY" Michl; several nieces and nephews, special friend, Bernadine Calvert and special friend & neighbor, Elzora Sanders.

Sally is preceded by her parents, husband and a loving son, Thomas E. Menke.

Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Rural Jasper County, Illinois
