Bernard "Peely" Hoisington, 89, Oblong, Illinois, passed away Sunday January 9, 2005 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, Illinois. He was born on March 13, 1915 in Oblong, Illinois and was the son of William & Mattie Leone (Newbold) Hoisington. On November 28, 1945 Bernard married Rosalia (Quatman) and she survives. Bernard served in the U. S. Army during W. W. II - Battle of the Bulge, and he was awarded both the Silver & Bronze Stars. Bernard was employed as an electrician for Marathon Oil Company, he retired in 1988 after thirty-two years. He enjoyed collecting antiques and gardening. Bernard was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Oblong, Illinois.

Surviving Bernard is his wife Rosie Hoisington; two sons and daughter-in-law John & Vicky Hoisington and Bill Hoisington; one daughter and son-in-law Mary Jane & Tom Maxedon; four grandchildren Sean Hoisington, Micah Hoisington & Fiance Matthew Fraizer, Amanda Maxedon and Brett Maxedon. His parents preceded him in death.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
