Violet E. Wineinger, 86, Connersville, Indiana formerly of Oblong, Illinois died Monday June 28, 2004 at the Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville, Indiana. Violet was born in Martin Township, Crawford County, Illinois on March 31, 1918 and she was the daughter of Ray and Flossie (Neeley) Waggoner. On February 10, 1940 Violet married Cecil "Eddie" Wineinger and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1991. Violet worked at Modular Screw and Bolt in Gary, Indiana for thirty years. She was a member of the Seed Chapel United Methodist Church and also attended New Heights Church of Christ. Violet's hobbies included shopping, flowers, vegetable gardening, writing and sending cards to people. She was always ready to help someone.

Violet is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Eugene & Judy Chapman, one daughter and son-in-law Betty Jane & Michael Howell; five grandchildren Toni & David Powell, Brian & Michelle Chapman, Alan & Kimberly Chapman, Shawn & Cary Lewis and Kelley Maher; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister Dorothy Quillman; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Violet is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandsons: Tommy & Bobby Maher and one sister: Opal Gowins.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
