Shirley L. Parker, 67, Oblong, Illinois died Sunday October 17, 2004 at Lourdes Hospital, Paducah, Kentucky from injuries sustained in a fall. Shirley was born on November 2, 1936 in Newton, Illinois. She was the daughter of Alonzo John and Ruby Violet (Manhart) Woodard. On March 26, 1955 Shirley married Ivan Parker and he survives. She was a homemaker and a member of the Henpeck C. B. Club in Oblong. Shirley's hobbies included arts, crafts and camping.

Surviving Shirley is her husband Ivan; one daughter and son-in-law Ronda & Allen Gaddis; six grandchildren Wilber William Witt III, Timothy Allen Witt, Anthony A. J. & Emily Vannetta, Nicole Gaddis, Holly Gaddis and Joy Gaddis; one great-grandson Keggan Gaddis; one brother and sister-in-law Larry & Shirley Woodard; one sister and brother-in-law Donna & Nolan Jones and several nieces & nephews.

Preceding Shirley in death are her parents, three sons Robert Gene, Donald Keith & Douglas Allen Parker and one daughter Brenda Louise Parker.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
