Miner Dalrymple, 87, Arlington Heights, Illinois and formerly of Oblong, Illinois died Wednesday August 18, 2004 at the Church Creek Assisted Living in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Miner was born in Oblong, Illinois and was the son of Roy Miner & Catherine (Andrews) Dalrymple. In 1954 Miner married Maylo (Koontz) and she survives. Miner served as a medic for 52 months in the U. S. Army during W. W. II. He retired from Marathon Oil Company after 33 years. Miner was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, E. M. Coulter American Legion Post #69, Robinson, Illinois where he was a member for 51 years and the Robinson Elks Lodge #1188 where he was a member for 49 years.

Miner is survived by his wife, Maylo; one son and daughter-in-law, Rob & Lisa Dalrymple; one sister-in-law, Irma Koontz; one nephew, David Koontz; four nieces, Nancy White, Barb Breen, Kathy Isbrandtsen and Janet Koontz; (4) Great Nieces & (2) Great Nephews: Jennifer and Sara Scherer, Allison White, Tasha Koontz, Tyler White and Jon Paul Hawkens

Preceding Minor in death are his parents, brother & sister-in-law William & Mary Ellen Dalrymple, Grandmother Minnie Andrews who raised Miner and his brother William, (1) Brother-In-Law: E. George Koontz

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery.
