Louise "Boo" Leffler, 71, Newton, Illinois, died Friday August 13, 2004 at her residence in Newton, Illinois. Louise was born on April 7, 1933 in the Bend Area of Jasper County, Illinois and was the daughter of George David Ochs and Neomi (Wade)

Ochs. On February 14, 1954, she married James Samuel Leffler, who preceded her in death on August 7, 1976. Louise was employed by the Department of Human Services for the State of Illinois teaching Child Care and Home Skills, Louise and Sam owned and operated Leffler TV & Repair Shops in Newton and Willow Hill from 1950 until 1968.

Louise was a member of the Mound United Methodist Church and graduated from Newton High School Class of 1951. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting Afghans.


Louise is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws Bill & Pam Leffler and Frank & Susan Leffler; two grandchildren Jamie Beth Leffler and Samuel Eugene Leffler; one brother and sister-in-law Don & Ann Ochs; and two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws

Clarence & Pauline Leffler and John & Elsie Leffler.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Jasper County, Illinois.
