Victor F. Brough, 95, Charleston, Illinois formerly of Oblong and Robinson, died Sunday

June 15, 2003 at the Hammond Lane Assisted Living Home in Charleston, Illinois. He was born in Jasper County, Illinois in the Hunt City area on March 19, 1908. Victor was the son of George Franklin Brough and Clara (Cox) Brough. On January 10, 1932, he married Elsie Mae Richardson. She died July 15, 1992. Victor was a mathematics teacher and Principal for schools in Willow Hill, Tower Hill, Bone Gap and Oblong. He retired from teaching in 1973 as a math teacher at Robinson High School. Victor was a member of White Oak Christian Church, rural Oblong and his hobbies included traveling, his car and television.

Surviving Victor are a son and daughter-in-law Don & Loretta Brough; daughter and son-in-law Janet & Paul Ruddell; six grandchildren Jay Brough, Lori & Mac Hazzard, Dan & Irma Ruddell, Scott & Linda Ruddell, Ladd Ruddell and Cristi & Dennis Beavers; eleven Great-grandchildren; one niece and four nephews.

His parents, wife, and three sisters Vivian Higgins, Geneva Boyd and Orpha Tonn precede Victor in death.

Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery, rural Oblong.
