Randy Coonce, 56, Springfield, Illinois formerly of Oblong, Illinois, died Thursday December 11. 2003 at St. John's Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois. Randy was born in Vincennes, Indiana on September 27, 1947 and was the son of William E. Coonce and Betty R. (Twitty) Coonce. He was an insurance salesman in the Springfield area and a former high school and college basketball and baseball coach. He was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church of Oblong, Illinois. Randy was a graduate of the Oblong High School Class of 1965, received his Master's Degree from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois. He loved all types of sports and enjoyed playing golf.

Randy is survived by his mother & step father Betty R. & David Deatherage, father William Coonce, twin sons Kevin & Robert "Bo" Coonce, two sisters and brothers-in-laws Jane & Kenneth Kimmel and Kaye & Gary Burgin, his fiancee Vickie Hagaman, and several nieces, nephews and five great nephews.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Vincennes, Indiana.
