Evelyn Wilson, 82, Oblong, Illinois died Saturday December 20, 2003 at her residence in Oblong. She was born in Jasper County, Illinois and was the daughter of David Otis Hammer and Lulu May (Leggitt) Hammer. On September 26, 1942, she married Darrel Wilson who died on August 31, 1984. Evelyn was a hommaker and was affiliated with the Prior Grove Baptist Church, rural Oblong. IL. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening and reading, Evelyn loved her family.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws Gary Dean & Gail Wilson and Nick & Donna Wilson; three daughters and sons-in-law Sharrel & Delbert McCrory, Marilyn & Mark Taylor and Phyllis & Tim Ervin; 14 grandchildren; 4 great granchildren; sister-in-law Thelma Ward; brothers-in-laws and sister-in-laws Gene and Patsy Wilson, Rose & Ruby Wilson and Arthur Wilson; one Aunt Madge Newbold as well as several nieces and nephews and Health Care Provider for many years Nancy Ping.

Her parents, husband, two sisters Ethel Campbell and Oral Luther and two brothers Bob & Howard Hanner precede Evelyn in death.

Burial will be in Kilgor Cemetery, rual Yale and Rose Hill in rural Jasper County,
